Manchester City are Back in Business
A 2-0 win against Bolton at Eastlands gave Manchester City the points they needed to level with 4th place Liverpool.
Goals from Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor made sure City bagged all 3 points, redeeming themselves from the upsetting defeat against Hull City during the weekend.
City’s first goal came via a spot kick from Carlos Tevez on the 30th minute which was the result of a rash tackle by Bolton keeper, Paul Robinson, on City’s new signing Adam Johnson.
Johnson, along with Ex-Arsenal Patrick Vieira, made their full debuts for the club. Bolton were without defender Gary Cahill, who was missing because of a blood clot in his arm.
Adebayor doubled City’s lead when he struck a fantastic volley on the 73rd minute that left the keeper well-beaten. Roberto Macini’s men move up to 5th, with a game in hand, while Bolton remain a point clear off the relegation zone.
